I found that MSE 8.0 is going to be EOS for location services, only wIPS remains functional.
Also I found here that CMX only supports following Cisco Access Points:
- Cisco CMX supports Cisco 3702i, 3702e, 3800, 2800, 4800,1830, and 1850 access points
Does this mean that If our customer wants location and history for clients and interferers in his distributed mixed old 500ap's network(x6xx, x7xx, x8xx APs series present) he will not be able to get it due to supporting MSE EoS and CMX 10.x (recommended for migration to) not supporting old APs?
Also, Is it possible to use 2 instances - MSE 8.x for wIPS on all APs, and CMX 10.x for location on compatible APs (x8xx series) on the same PI in the same time?
How will it handle mixed APs (x6xx, x7xx and x8xx) locations?
Is it possible to mix MSE 8.x for location, MSE 8.x for wIPS, and CMX 10.x for location on newer APs? Will it aggregate client location for neighboring APs of different series?
Any restrictions for that?
