Is it possible to back up a configuration file from a Cisco 2112 WLC and then upload it into a new Cisco 5508 WLC?

Technically, no. But you can do 'show run-config commands' and will be able to paste it back in line by line, will probably need to add the config command to the beginning of each line. May also have to reorder the commands to get them to take.

The differences are Physical port config - Lag, AP-Manager interface. So manually config these parameters to 5508. 5508 doesn't use static AP-Manager interface, it uses Management interface for AP management. Lag may be enabled/disabled based on your initial config feed on 5508. If you prefer not to use lag on 5508 then disable lag if enabled already.

Hello,
According to me ,
No, this is not possible. Because the hardware configuration is different of both WLC’s.
