Old AP 1240AG

Go myself a couple of APs old 1240AG. When I connect them to POE they boot, but end in flashing ethernet, radio but more conserning the status LED is blinking red amber green. I could not find it any manual. Can someone point me in the right direction?

  • I tried a reset, but am not sure if that worked
  • I have console connected I see it getting an ip
  • I see the ip assigned through BootP
  • Can't ping GUI is not up and running (browser)

any thoughts?

Controller status

Alternating green, red , and amber1

Connecting to the controller.

Note If the access point remains in this mode for more than five minutes, the access point is unable to find the controller. Ensure a DHCP server is available or that controller information is configured on the access point.

I think you need to convert your AP from LWAPP (Lightweight Mode) to Autonomous
