Put a higher priority on the specific SSID

Hello,

we're running more or less 700 AP (2702 and 2802) on a WLC 5520 ver 8.5

In some site we broadcast a Guest SSID and a Corp SSID, let's say than an employee get usually connected on the Corp SSID, but one day he connects to the Guest SSID checking the box 'Connect Automatically' on Windows. I'm afraid this Windows would first try to get connected on the Guest SSID instead of the Corp SSID and then get issue to access on the Corp resources.

Is there any way to define a higher priority to the Corp SSID over all the other one that the AP would broadcast ?

Thanks in advance,
Denis

Domain joined machines you can set policies through GPO. That is how you would specify the priority and also hide your guest or block certain SSID’s. Some MDM can also do the same and push profiles.

Not from the WLC perspective.

AP will broadcast all configure SSIDs and we cannot set a preference priority from one of them.

I am sure you can do something from the client-side pushing profiles.
