Question about disabling the 802.11a/n radio

Hi,

I have WLC 4402 with 9 1131AG APs.  Are there any advantages to turning off the a/n radio, and just have the G radio enabled?  Most if not all of the clients are connecting using G.

Also, are there any settings in the WLC that can be tweeked to optimize performance in general?

Thanks in advance

Nope.  You have alot of DISADVANTAGES if you depend entirely on the G radio.

Funny you should ask:  Enable "A" radio.

Turn off all "b" data rates and lower "g" and "a" data rates. I typically switch everything off below 24mbps but if the WLAN is poorly designed it might uncover some coverage holes.
