Reclaim Cisco 5508 licenses

I have a Cisco 5508 with 25 licenses.  It shows that all 25 licenses are in use, but only 16 access points are active.  I suspect that the controller still has old/inactive access points using a license.  How can I reclaim those licenses for new/replacement access points?

Only access points that are joined will take up a license. Did you reboot the WLC and can you issue the show license from the cli.

I was wrong.  They weren't taking up my licenses.  I got a new AP that needed a different DNS entry to point to the controller.  After updating that the new AP joined the controller as expected.

So the issue was AP's joining?

Correct.  I thought that I saw a screen that showed all 25 licenses in use.  I had clicked on the wrong link.  The screen now shows 17 out of 25 in use.
