Smart license on two cisco wlc

Hello all,

I am beginner in the world of cisco wireless , and i need your help .

I have  50 smart license for AP. 

 I had already install  25 of smart licence on a one  controller  cisco wlc 5520   with a token .

My question  is it   possible to install the rest of 25 smart licence in another controller  cisco wlc 5520 with the same token ?

The 5520 is a right to use license. If you do not use all quantities in a smart license, you should be able to move these licenses around to any device that is part of your smart license virtual account. Just give it a try and if needed, open a Tac case with the licensing team if needed.

yes you can use. 

It supports RTU: A Right to Use license scheme is an honor-based model for licensing. Licenses are not tied to an unique device identifier (UDI), product ID, or serial number.

I dont know how your setup is and what you wnat to achieve !!

My recommandation to install 50 AP license on WLC1 and make sure that both WLCs are in HA AP/Client SSO.

I don’t see why not. You don’t have to install any license on the 5520 since it is right to use, you are just allocating the license in your portal. Just give it a try.
