SSO not working

Hi,

I am trying to setup SSO between my primary and secondary 5508 controller, and it doesn't appear to be working. I lose connection to both devices after the reboot and then have to console in and disable redundancy manually to regain connectivity. Is there something special required for this to work that isn't apparent?

Thanks in advance.

You need to take a look at these guide.  The first one explains how to test failover.

Thanks for the information. The one key difference between what is shown and what I experience is I cannot management my devices from the management port, only the service port allows me that access. Given the information I viewed in the video's and documentation that appears to be odd. Is there something known where if you use the service port somehow it disbales the ability to get to the device GUI from the management port IP?

Thanks,

Well what code are you running.... the suggested code right now is the latest v7.4.100.60

You should be able to access only the primary WLC not the HA.  I don't know what else it can be without really seeing the configuration.

Thanks,

Scott

Hello Daniel,

As per your query i can suggest you the following solution-

AP SSO Deployment with Legacy Primary/Secondary/Tertiary HA

HA (that is, AP SSO) can be deployed with Secondary and Tertiary Controllers just like today. Both Active and Standby WLCs combined in the HA setup should be configured as primary WLC. Only on failure of both Active and Standby WLCs in the HA setup will the APs fall back to Secondary and further to Tertiary WLCs.

For more information please refer the link-

Hope this will help you.
