We currently use 1142's from a WLC 5508 without any real problems except for one heavily populated area. The problem is that nearly half the clients are WYSE thin clients streaming their VMWare View session. This ties up the AP and eventually resets it after about 16 clients. That sounds about right for 8 high use client per stream as I read it. I could be wrong.
My question:
I am looking at the new 2600 and 3600 series as replacements for just this one area. They both offer three streams (+1) with either 3x4 or 4x4 MIMO. So my question is that given that my only problem is the streaming clients (bandwidth is great) is there any impact with the 3600 to warrent the extra money? Otherwise I will just go with the 2600.
