Hello,
We are running WLC 5508 with software version 7.1.91.0. We have recently run into bug CSCua29504 which prevents Windows 8 devices from joining the SSID which is configured with WPA/WPA2 with AES. Can someone suggest me a latest stable version to which i can upgrade our system.
Thanking you in advance.
Prince Mathew

You could try 7.4.121.X or 7.6.110.X. Read the Release Notes to ensure you know what bugs are there.
Make sure you upgrade the FUS code too.

I would go for 7.4.121.0 with FUS upgraded to 1.9.0.0.
Here is the release notes you should read prior to upgrade
1. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/fus_rn_OL-31390-01.html
2. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn74mr02.html
At least get 45min outage window if you want to perform both upgrades.

Thanks Leo & Rasika.
I shall try your suggestion during next downtime. Is there a specific order which i should be following while upgrading? Software first and then FUS code?
Thanks,
Prince Mathew

Either way it will work, I prefer FUS upgrade first & then WLC software.

Hi Rasika,
What does FUS code refers to? Is it the system boot image? Which command do i need to issue in order to verify it?
Thanks,
Prince

FUS stands for Field Upgrade Software.
It's actually another TLA (three-letter acronym) and is synonymous to the word "bootstrap".
The Release Notes and the procedure about how to upgrade FUS code can be found HERE.

Nope. It's not the same. You will need to upgrade all the FUS before you hit the latest one.

How can i find out the current FUS Code version? The field recovery image version is 6.0.182.0

FUS and field recovery are two different things. I'd concentrate more on the FUS.

I am sorry, looks like i have mislead you. I wanted to know the current FUS code running on my controller. Is there a way i can get to know that?
