whether 802.11n(5 ghz) speed decreases when its used with 802.11a?.
I know 802.11g speed reduces when it is used with 802.11b.
If possible, please share the speed matrix for the compatible scenarios.
As, 802.11n has higher data-rate, whether it is selected on 2.4GHz or 5GHz, it will give good throughput if your clients devices also on 'b/g/n' or 'n' mode and if your client devices on 'b/g' or 'b-only' mode then you will not the benefit of setting 'n' standard on you Access-point.
and 802.11a and 802.11b has lower data-rate than 802.11n in every scenario.

I have this table. If a 802.11b client connects to a 802.11b/g access-point, thoughput will be reduced by 8mbps to support both 802.11b and 802.11g.
Similarly, what happens when 802.11a and 802.11n are deployed together?. whether the performance will be reduced?
Many Companies still mix of 802.11a/g & 802.11n clients. Because 802.11a/g clients (old clients) operate at lower data rates, these can reduce the capacity of the entire network.
You can use : Cisco’s ClientLink technology to solve problems related to adoption of 802.11n in mixed-client networks by ensuring that 802.11a/g clients operate at the best possible rates, especially when they are near cell boundaries.
Enable Client Link/Beamforming
Wireless > 802.11a/n > Network
Select the Beamforming/ClientLink check box to globally enable beamforming on your 802.11a network.
