HI Band n is much faster. We replaced ap1131 with ap3502. but when we tested it with PC close to the 3502, we still get band g. How can we get band n as it is more fast? Thank you

Hi

Does the PC wireless NIC support 802.11n? Data rates have to be supported by both AP and client.

Are the drivers up-to-date?

I use the same PC to test. In the same network, I can find band n in another AP3602.

Hi,

When the client connects to the AP and the client continuously agree on a speed. Often its a good Idea to create a RF profile for the site that disables the lower speeds if you know that all clients supports the higher ones. This will not only help with client speeds but it will also help with roaming sense the client needs to change AP earlier to be able to keep the higher speeds.

regards,
Jonas

The same PC was moved to ap3602 and then it can get band n. so that means this might be AP or wlc configuration issue. but do not know where the exact issue is.

Can you show us the AP configuration (please remove passwords first)?
You need to have WMM and N speeds enabled with WPA2-AES or Open (no WPA, no TKIP, no WEP!).
