Clean new config now

With 40mhz and uni-2

Delay <1 ms

With 40mhz and uni-2 enabled or disabled?

Thanks,

Scott

Enabled .. to test ;-)

Well it depends on what channel and radio the AP is on.  If your device is connected to the 5ghz and you have an Intel 62xx card with 40mhz enabled, you will have issues.  If your AP is on a uni-2 extended channel, and your client roams to an AP with uni-2 extened, it will fail.  So if you really want to test, set the channel on the AP to channel 108 and see if your client works.   Make sure on the wlan you also set your radio policy to 'A' only.  If you have an intel 6200 card, see if that works also...  It's best to stick with Best Practice and understand what devices you have out there.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott

It's a lab setup, one pc with 4965 card and a Google Nexus.

was just wondering what was giving the 45ms delay.

Its something in your configuration... default, uni-2 is disabled along with 40mhz.  So the delay can be caused by the channel, the radio your are associated, etc.  Disable uni-2 extended, because the Google Nexus and the 4965 doesn't support uni-2 extended and if you have any Intel 62xx cards in you environment running less than v15, disable 40mhz.  Now with a default configuration, start making small changes and test.  See what configuration you are doing to cause this issue.  Bottom line, its a configuration change you are making that is causing the delay which most likely is a compatibility issue with the device.

Thanks,

Scott

Configured as close to the original config with AIR-CT2500-K9-7-2-111-3 firmware on the controller.

Latency <1ms

Upgraded to AIR-CT2500-K9-7-3-101..... and the latency is back again.

Looks like a serious firmware bug

Downgraded to 7-2-111-3 and rebooted without saving .... still latency :-(

Tested with  AIR-CAP2602I-E-K9  and AIR-AP1242AG-E-K9, it's the same with both, seems like the latency i in the controller.

Upgraded to 8.4.100.0 ... same problem

Delay starts after upgrading the FUS

Factory default and reconfigure, solves the problem.
