We got some new Apple Macbook Air, when connected to wifi, we found the link speed was only 54Mbits, but other laptops like DELL or Panasonic were working fine, the link speed was at least 800 Mbits. we are using Cisco WLC 5504 and 2702I ap.

and the funny thing was when these Macbook connected to my home wifi, the link speed was back to 800 Mbits and up.

i think it might be some thing i need to modify on the WLC.

any idea?

thanks.

You can try to change the data rates to see if there are any improvements.

Cisco and Apple recommend a minimum data rate of 12 Mbps, and enabling 12 Mbps and 24 Mbps as the two mandatory data rates as a general best practice for iOS devices and Mac computers on Cisco Wireless LAN.
