The AP is unable to associate. The Regulatory Domain configured on it '-X' does not match the Controller 'xx.xx.xx.xx' country code 'XX - xxxxx' error message is received on the Wireless LAN Controller
When an attempt is made to force the Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) to accept clients from multiple countries, regulatory domain error messages are received from the controller.
This is an example of the error messages received: AP 'TestAP' is unable to associate. The Regulatory Domain configured on it '-A' does not match the Controller '10.77.228.23' country code 'SG - Singapore'.
Help Please check the Controller '10.77.228.23' and AP "TestAP" for any misconfiguration.
By default, one regulatory domain is allowed per controller. Therefore, a controller that uses regulatory domain -A can only be used with Cisco Access Points (APs) that use regulatory domain -A, and so on.
In this case, the controller is set to -SG for Singapore, so it only supports APs in the Singapore regulatory domain. In this scenario, contact the Cisco Account Team in order to make a Product Enhancement Request (PER) to add multiple regulatory domain support per controller. For the time being, the controller only allows one.
Note: The part numbers of the devices depend on the country involved and the regulatory domain.
