Core Issue
Wireless packet concatenation provides higher overall data throughput. The Access Point (AP) or bridge uses concatenation to combine multiple packets into one. Concatenation reduces packet overhead and overall latency, which increases the efficiency of transmission. When concatenation is enabled, the Request To Send (RTS) and fragment thresholds are set to 4000. A decrease in the value of these thresholds can degrade the performance of the AP or bridge. Concatenation is enabled by default.
Resolution
All clients do not support concatenation, for example, the CPE200. In cases where the client supports a maximum data rate of 11mbps (802.11 b), reduce the maximum data rate from 54mbps to 11mbps, and disable packet concatenation.
To configure radio data rates from the Graphical User Interface (GUI) mode, select Network Interfaces > 802.11b/g radio > Settings > Data rates. This step is required up to 11mbps only.
