The queue full discards value is the number of times packets were not transmitted, due to too many retries occurring to the same destination. Discards only occur if packets destined to the same destination address are taking up more than their share of transmit buffers.
This is typically a result of one or more of the following:
Ethernet oversubscribing the (11 Mbps half-duplex) radio interface: To combat this, set the Ethernet interface to 10-Base-T half-duplex. For instructions on setting the Ethernet speed, refer to the Entering Ethernet Hardware Information section of Configuring the Radio and Basic Settings.
Interference: If the radio interface is deemed busy, the bridge will not attempt to send data, but will buffer it instead. This is evident if you see a high number of retries and Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) errors.
Faulty, damaged, or misaligned antenna: If the antenna, or the cable to it, is not in proper working order, radio performance suffers and can lead to queue full discards.
