Introduction
Wireless Clients unable to Reauthenticate with the Cisco Access Point
Core Issue
This situation may affect users who remove their wireless card without stopping it first then try to reauthenticate immediately, or users who log off and immediately try to log back on.
Resolution
This issue is documented in Cisco bug ID CSCsc51365.
Workaround
To work around this problem, use one or more of the following techniques:
- allow time between iterations of testing for the client to
be dropped from the association table
- manually clear the client from the association table
between iterations of testing
- properly stop a client card before attempting a
new login session.
- configure an activity-timeout on the AP, for example:
ap(config)#dot11 activity-timeout client-station default 30 maximum 30
