Hi guys,
Trying to setup WLC5508 with an AP as a pilot, IP schema as below
DHCP: 10.198.10.100
WLC: 10.198.10.126
AP: 192.168.231.x
We are routing between the two subnets via cisco ASA5550.
Diagram attached for more explanation
-If I assign static IP to the AP, then the AP will join the controller but the wifi client can’t get any IP
-if I change the AP/BVI1 to DHCP (which is what I need) then the AP will not pick up any IP from the DHCP and off course wifi client can’t get an IP as the AP not joining the controller
-I already done option 43, 60, 82 on the DHCP server but still no luck.
-I setup Cisco IOS DHCP (TEST) and I put it with WLC, and AP in one subnet then the AP and the wifi client picking up IP address which is good
-I checked everything on the ASA everything looks good to me
-There is a full IP connectivity between the two subnet (10.198.10.0 / 192.168.231.0 / 10.198.0.0)
Thanks in advance guys
