Core Issue
When trying to load new firmware, the access point does not accept the firmware because the hardware does not accept compressed files.
Resolution
Make sure the executable or zip file downloaded is uncompressed before attempting to load it. The hardware does not accept compressed files. The firmware file extension of a Vxworks 350/1200 series wireless product is img. The firmware file extension of an Cisco IOS 1100/1200 series wireless product is tar.
