Need assistance connecting two wireless computers without an Access Point (AP).
Resolution
If two or more wireless PCs communicate with each other directly without an access point they are said to be in Adhoc mode. Normally PCs are assigned IP addresses statically in the same subnet. Security settings and Other 802.11 Parameter setings apply for adhoc mode as they do in infrastructure mode.
From the Aironet Client Utility (ACU), you can configure the clients to run in AD HOC mode. This is only a peer-to-peer connection. One PC will become the parent, the other will be the child.
