Need assistance enabling Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) on third party devices.
Resolution
Cisco Aironet products can establish 40-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) connections with IEEE 802.11b-compliant non-Cisco products. If you want to create a 128-bit WEP link, Cisco products only interact with other Cisco products.
If you are using a third-party device with a Cisco Aironet product, you must set both devices to use 40-bit WEP.
