c3650-24PD-L

Hi,

 Network Switch, with at least 24-Ports 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE-plus (RJ45), at least 2x 1GbE SFP ports, at least another 2x 10GbE SFP+ ports, and redundant power supply

will this switch (WS-C3650-24PD-L) support the above requirements? Please advice me.

If you are looking for a switch that can provide PoE+ (30w) to all 24-ports, then the options are:

  • WS-C3650-48FD;
  • WS-C3850-24U; and
  • C9300-24U

NOTE:  I deliberately did not put 9200.

Yes, make sure that really need LAN base features, not IP base or Enterprise to get your work done.

Also make sure you get the spare power supply(PWR-C2-640WAC=), switch comes with only 1

-hope this helps-

PWR-C2-640WAC= Does it supports 24 Port (30W)POE+? How many AP(POE+) can support?
How can I calculate POE+ on a switch Please advice me?

PWR-C2-640WAC is a 640 watt AC power supply (and is not a switch model).

Let's do the maths.  How many PoE+ ports do you need?  24?  Ok, so what is the total of 24 x 30?   720, correct?  So this tells me that the 640 watts AC power supply (PWR-C2-640WAC) is insufficient to provide PoE+ power.

Next, if you look at the Data Sheets for the 3650, 3850 and 9300 the "smallest" power supply required for a 24-port is a 715 watt power supply.

If you are looking for a switch that can provide PoE+ (30w) to all 24-ports, then the options are:

  • WS-C3650-48FD;
  • WS-C3850-24U; and
  • C9300-24U

Not it won't.

Look at the product code.  It is "PD".  P means PoE.  "D" means 2xSFP/SFP+ ports only.

If you want two SFP+ ports and two more SFP ports then you're looking at a 3850 with C3850-NM-4-10G or a 9300 with C9300-NM-8X or C3850-NM-4-10G.

Please note: Existing 3850 network modules are also supported in the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series platforms. -- 9300 Data Sheet

A specification is one unit of network switch with at least 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE-plus (FULL ) (RJ45) ports,
4 x 10 GbE SFP+ network ports and Dual Power Supply. If we connect 1GbE to 10GbE NM also it should work, does it work properly?
Please advice me
C9200-24P-E (Catalyst 9200 24-port PoE+ Switch. Network Essentials),
C9200-NM-4X (Catalyst 9200 4 x 10GE Network Module, spare

Thanks
