Hi,
I have an access point running 15.5.2(JA). I can't do a hard reset, well the guy that is with it can't, the access port is a long way away and it won't let me delete the config. I've never set one of these up before and pushed for time. We don't have a WLC wanted to run in autonomous mode.
How can I get that access point in a way that allows me to config from a webpage? The ios commands it gives me are very different from the standard switch i.e I cant do "erase running-config"
I can get to the CLI but ...
Thanks

k9w8 is a light weight image. K9w8 is an autonomous image. You will need to
Download the IOS autonomous image and soma conversion which requires you to have the AP in your hand.
Here is a handy document that explains the process

Thanks. If I get a WLC does that allow me to get this up if I don't upgrade the image?

Yes... It would be better to manage also I'm my opinion.
Here is a doc that explains the join process which allows the AP for find the WLC
