Cisco 5508 & AP Licenses

Currently, I have 2 5508 controllers providing connectivity for 304 access points.  The ap’s are configured with a primary and secondary controller.  5508A is licensed for 325 ap’s.  5508B is licensed for 275 ap’s.  The math says if 5508A fails, almost 30 ap’s will not join.  Can I still purchase the old style license paks?  Or is there another alternative?  TIA

Yes, you can still purchase licenses.

Instead of buying additional licenses, you might want to consider, if physically possible, to do SSO. In that case only the primary WLC requires the licenses. Downside though, you loose the already bought licenses on the second WLC (you might be able to transfer them in this specific case to the other WLC).
