Cisco MSE in the NCS

Hello,

I have an MSE configured in de NCS. The MSE is reachable from the NCS. When I go in the NCS to the tab Home -> Context Aware, I don't see anything. When I restart the MSE I will see some data in the screen. But no new data is apearing in the screen.

I guess that is has something to do with de SNMP community. In the NCS and WLC the community is our own community. In the MSE the community is public. The IP-address of the NCS is configured in the MSE as server who may change to MSE.

When I try to change the community from public to our own, it is not possible. Also when I make an new one, the ip- address must be not te same as the one, wich all ready has configured.

Can I change with the CLI the SNMP community in the MSE??

The version can be found in NCS... In NCS, help about will give you the NCS version. Then look at the MSE from NCS, there you will see the version of the MSE. What version is your WLC also. The NCS and MSE should be equal or a higher version than the WLC.

Not from the CLI of the MSE.  If you rerun the startup script or wizard, you don't have any snmp entries.  The only entry hat you can change is the communications and password to the WCS/NCS.

Thanks,

What version is your NCS and your MSE on.  On the MSE, if you run the /etc/init.d/msed status do you see the service up?

Thanks,

Scott

MSE Version:

7.0.201.204

WLC:

Software Version7.2.110.0

NCS:

Version: 1.1.0.58 ( - Jan. 27, 2012 - rev 60272)

so I must update everything to 7.3?

Before it will work proberbly?

No... Look at this matrix and you will see what version of NCS and MSE us required for the WLC code you have.
