interference created by nearby AP

Hi All,

We have 2800 AP and we configured 80 MHz. Due to this we are seeing same channel on nearby APs and also we are seeing slowness in network. We changed channel width to 20 MHz and also not seeing same channel on nearby AP except few. We have few query regarding that :-

1) How to check if we still have interference by nearby AP. How to check from WLC

2) Why we still see some AP on same channel . Issue is far better than previous channel Width of 80 MHZ, but still have few APs on same channel. Any specific reason

Please help me in above query

Is CleanAir enabled?
Is FRA enabled?

Hi @Leo Laohoo

Yes, we enabled FRA as auto and Clean air also enabled

Under CleanAir what interference are you seeing in 5.0 Ghz?

Hi @Leo Laohoo ,

We have added all parameters in interference to detect section.

That's not the answer to the question.
In the controller, Cisco Cleanair > 802.11a/n/ac > Interference Devices.
What are listed there?
How many have a Duty Cycle of >80% and what is their corresponding RSSI values?

Hi @Leo Laohoo

Only seeing one device in 5ghz. Attached the screeshot. Duty cycle is 100%

RSSI of 102. That's too far to do any difference.

What firmware is the controller running on?
What switches are the APs connected to?

Hi @Leo Laohoo

Switches is Cisco 2960x & WLC image is 8.5.151.0

Check the 2960X for any line errors &/or Total Output Drops.
