Mismatching regulatory domains

Hi All,

I have had issues in the past when I try to join AP's to our WLC but its gives the error message:

*Nov 20 11:47:59.000: %CAPWAP-5-DTLSREQSEND: DTLS connection request sent peer_ip: 10.11.0.230 peer_port: 5246
*Nov 20 11:47:59.245: %CAPWAP-5-DTLSREQSUCC: DTLS connection created sucessfully peer_ip: 10.11.0.230 peer_port: 5246
*Nov 20 11:47:59.248: %CAPWAP-5-SENDJOIN: sending Join Request to 10.11.0.230
*Nov 20 11:48:17.314: %DTLS-5-SEND_ALERT: Send FATAL : Close notify Alert to 10.11.0.230:5246
*Nov 20 11:48:17.314: bsnInitRcbSlot: slot 0 has NO radio
*Nov 20 11:48:17.314: bsnInitRcbSlot: slot 1 has NO radio
*Nov 20 11:48:17.367: %CAPWAP-5-AP_EASYADMIN_INFO: AP Easy Admin information - EASY_ADMIN is not set, turn off easy admin service!

*Nov 20 11:48:17.367: %CAPWAP-5-AP_EASYADMIN_INFO: AP Easy Admin information - Easy Admin is not enabled, turn it off!

I have been able to fix it before by adding a new regulatory domain to the WLC list but this time it won't fix it.

My AP is a AIR-CAP3502I-E-K9 (which I beleive is a EMEA code) and my WLC supports CA, FR, GB, US but it still will not connect.

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

my guess is this has nothing to do with regulatory domains

but

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-5/config-guide/b_cg85/flexconnect_ap_easy_admin.html

looks like this AP has been previously configured as flexconnect mode, and this easy admin setting is currently disabled at the controller

reset the AP by pressing the button and keep it pressed for more than 30 seconds while power is applied

Hi pieterh

Pressing the mode button for 30 seconds just initiates the device to reset and re-download firmware.

I have done this again anyway to rule it out but I am still in the same position.

Thanks.

Post the complete output to the following commands:
1. WLC: sh sysinfo;
2. WLC: sh time;
3. AP: sh version;
4. AP: sh ip interface brief;
5. Connect a console cable to the AP and reboot the AP. Post the entire boot-up process.
