NCS Abassador time setting

Hi,

we have seen the anbassador managing guest users set an End time at NCS system. The NCS uses UTC time zone. But WLCs are in one country only and should use GMT+1 time zone to avoid confusion and ambassador not needs to calculate the end time. Is it possible to change this setting.

Andre,

NCS GUI gets the time from the VM/appliance where it's installed on. So if you can change the server time to the correct timezone then the same information will reflect in the lobby admin pages as well.

From the NCS CLI,

1. show timezone  (will give you the currently configured timezone)

2. show timezones (will give the list of all timezones that can be configured)

Here is a snip from my lab where I changed the timezone to US - East Coast time.

nms-kate/admin# conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

nms-kate/admin(config)# clock timezone US/Eastern

% Warning: System timezone was modified, NCS will need to be restarted.

nms-kate/admin(config)#

Hope this helps.
