Prime Infrastructure and backups Repository

I don’t have a Prime Infrastructure in front of me, but customer said they created in PI a backup repository and backups have been running fine.

Problem is the backups don’t overwrite and the Repository ran out of disk space. Can you tell PI how many backups to keep, etc and to delete any older than that?

Seems you can only specify Max Backups if using the Local Disk vs a remote Repository.

Prime Infrastructure and backups Repository

Yes, you can, using local backup.

Point your customer to:

Administration  > Background Tasks > Other Background Tasks  > NCS Server Backup

There you can specify "Max backups to keep ", default is 3. Then PI should delete backups according to your settings.

But as you say, if they use remote repo, it will not work. In that case you can use a script on the remote sevrer to remove old files, how to do that depends on server OS of course.
