Hello,

I am seeing a lot of broadcast traffic coming from my AP541N-A-K9 access points at port 4554/UDP . I have 5 of these in a cluster. I cant seem to find anything in the manual in regards to this port traffic. Any help is apprecieted

Hi

I found this reference for this. As per this it is used for "internal use"

Thank you for your response. Do you know what "internal use" is used for though? Right now my firewall is blocking the traffic. Unless I know why it is needed, I do not plan on allowing it. I would also like to possibly turn this off at the access point level to reduce my network traffic.

I've got this too on the WAP321. Any way to resolve this?

I was unable to find a way.

It seems to be related to 'Single Point Setup'. If this is disabled, there UDP traffic on port 4554 disappears.
(Btw, there is also traffic for Bonjour if it is enabled.)
