We have just installed two units of Cisco WAP-150 access points. However, the coverage is very poor. The signal degrades to the point of not being usable from 40 feet away with a line-of-sight to the access point.
The other unit is mounted in another room about 40 feet away behind a hollow core door and the signal can not be seen at all.
Is there any way to increase the power of these units? The way it is now, they are basically unusable.
Appreciate any and all assistance.

Up untill now I installed them at 5 places, they feel like a disater.
Coverage is poor, single pint setup channal management makes things only worse.
Because you have to use much power to get a bit performance its almost not possible to make more of them work together. The high radio settings make it impossible to switch the clients in time tot the nearest one.
Products in this condition do not give Cisco any credit.
Does anyone know solutions?

I was trying to find the radiation pattern for this AP but I can't find anything
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/small-business-100-series-wireless-access-points/datasheet-c78-736450.html
Have you seen anything in the manual coming with the AP packaging ?
What is the recommended installation for this AP ? Wall mounted or ceiling ?
Would you mind posting so screenshot of the AP advanced radio settings ?
Thanks,
Ben

I have installed four WAP 150 (wall mounted in 2,2m height) trying to cover two floors. Thought that Cisco should have functional WAPs!
Very poor coverage - mostly one bar!
Tried some other n/ac WAP from competitors and got three bars!
What may i have done wrong when installing the WAP 150 (PoE connected)?
Or is the WAP 150 just a poor product?
Any ideas?
Regards,
Günter
