Hello,
currently, the Captive Portal redirects me to its IP address for login (https://192.168.42.20/cp.cgi?action=captive). Is it possible to redirect to fully qualified hostname? The problem is that by redirecting to IP address, you cannot use (wildcard) SSL certificate, as it doesn't match hostname. However, purchasing several different certificates just to provide for all APs seems a bit excessive..
Thank you,
Pavel

Dear Pavel,
Thank you for reaching Cisco Small Business Support Community.
Please refer to the Instance Configuration section in the admin guide, p.147, where you can choose between HTTP or HTTPS as the Instance protocol and where you can enter a fully qualified domain name under "Redirect URL";
I hope this answers your question and please let me know if there is any further assistance I may help you with.
Kind regards,
Jeffrey Rodriguez S. .:|:.:|:.

Hello,
the Redirect URL is the URL you are redirected only after you have successfuly logged in through Captive Portal (which will still be displayed by its IP address), isn't it?
What I need to modify is the address of the initial login page where you are asked for credentials.

Dear Pavel,
I understand your point now and I see no way to modify that GUI feature. You can try contacting the Small Businesss Support Center directly to see if they have an idea how to edit that;

Hello Mr. Rantorski,
My name is Eric Moyers. I am a Network Support Engineer in the Cisco Small Business Support Center. Thank you for using the Cisco Community Post Forums.
Currently the IP Address you get forward to is the only option available because of the way the program is coded.
There is no option available for changing the current address.
I would suggest calling to one of our Support Centers and having a case opened for a "Feature Request". But I would stress once it is made, it would still have to be approved to progress further. On the front lines we have no control over that only the development teams do.
Thanks
