Is it possible to disable the 2.4ghz radio on the 1142 wap in controller mode through the web ui.   This is a 5508 WLC

To disable an individual AP 2.4GHz radio:

Go to Wireless and on the left select Radios and 802.11b/g/n to bring up a list of your APs with their radios.

Find your Access Point and on the right hand hover over the blue arrow and select configure to open up the AP settings

Under General change the Admin Status to Disabled and click Apply.
