Does an ant2588P3M-N antenna work with a AIR-CAP1532e-k-9 AP? If so, what ports on the antenna correspond with the external ports on the 1532e AP? The only documentation I have found was the Cisco Aironet 2.4-GHz/5-GHz 8-dBi Directional Antenna (AIR-ANT2588P3M-N) link, but it references using with a Cisco 1552E AP.
The AP 1532E has four antenna ports with N-Type connectors, two at the top of the access point and two at the bottom of the access point. When in Dual band mode, the bottom antenna ports (port 1 and port 2) are used for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Antennas that support multiple bands are called Dual Radiating Element (DRE), they contain dual radiating elements for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band inside the antenna.
Cisco's Installation instructions say to connect thre wires to the 2588 antenna however they say to connect B to port 6 while the 1532 AP only has 4 antenna connections. Does the 2588 require three antenna cables or will two connected to ports 1 and 2 work in dual band mode ?
Antenna Cable Information
The antenna is to be used with the Cisco 1552E access point. The port-to-port designations are as follows: port A of the antenna must be connected to port 4 of the access point, port B of the antenna must be connected to port 6 of the access point, and port C of the antenna must be connected to port 5 of the access point.
