Hello
we need to cover an outdoor area with mesh access points and we are considering using 1562e with directional antennas.
Question: where can I find the estimated maximum distance between the RAP and MAP (no client access)?
The app that will use this wireless environment will not need much bandwidth. MCS0 is sufficient.
Thank you
Marcos

Haven’t used this antenna but with a 13dbi antenna I built a mesh between 2 AP 300 meter apart with clear line of sight and it works well.
this is a 14dbi antenna so I would assume that 300 meter you can expect to work at the least with clear line of sight.
for theoretical distance calculation you can use the link below, just feed in antenna gain and power : https://www.rfwireless-world.com/calculators/Antenna-Range-Calculator.html

There are multiple factors impact the maximum distance. You must conduct a survey using POC equipment possibly using the same antenna and the AP to do the measurement. Some parameters you must consider
1. WLC configuration such as band, TPC levels etc.
2. Antenna Cable distance
3. Antenna position
4. Environment such as trees even weather can create an impact.
I would strongly recommend use proper tools and conduct a POC and run all the test cases you want. Based on the results conclude how you are going to approach.

Zero feet/metres/inch.
1562E does not have any antenna.

sorry. We are considering AIR-ANT5114P2M-N

Is this for an outdoor carpark?

Thank you. That is exactly the info I needed.

Exactly. That question was for a survey + PoC we are planning.
