it all depends on end device you have, if they support 2.4 it all work, if they support required 5GHz then they will drop off.

as long as your device your environment support the one you looking to enable  - you will be good.

In general most of the best approach is 2.4 and 5 available all time. again it is your network and business requirement.

Let's start with the important thing, don't disable 5 GHz unless you don't need bandwidth.

802.11ac is only working with 5 GHz. 2.4 GHz is typically way more crowded with other devices and thus even slower.

What kind of problem and with which devices running which firmware/driver do you have?

Typically you never disable 5 GHz, unless the devices are some special scanners in a warehouse or similar.

hi,

  1. 2.4 GHz -

The 2.4 GHz frequency of the wifi router offers the wifi user a wide coverage area and is better at penetrating solid objects with a maximum speed of 150 Mbps.

On the other hand, it has a lower data range and is highly prone to interference and disturbance.

  2. 5 GHz

The 5 GHz frequency facilitates the customer with a higher data range with negligible interference and offers a great deal when it comes to the internet speeds for wifi for home.

Contrary to this benefit, it has a narrow coverage area and is not a successful band when it comes to penetrating solid objects.

  1. What bugs?  Please elaborate?
  2. What is the country the APs are operating in?
  3. Has anyone checked the area for the presence of co-channel interference for the duration of an entire working week?
