2700 AP lifecycle planning

Dear All,

we still have some 500 Cisco 2700 APs up and running (EoS for this model was April 2019 and End of SW Maintenance is April 2020). Our WLC platform: 8540/3504 with AireOS Rel. 8.5.151.0. Will 8.10 be the last AireOS to support this model ? What are the plans regarding feature parity (ie. WPAv3) ?

What are you guys planning for the AP lifecycle ? We plan replacing the 2700's in 2021 by the new Catalyst 9120's (WiFi6 support).

The likely replacement for the wave 1 APs are the 9120 and 9130.
My recommendation is to talk to your Cisco AM/SE for some promotion or special discounts.
