Hello,
Our newly installed WAP's are constantly downloading code and seem to lose contact with our wism 1 version 7.0.235.3, causing them to restart the downloading process, over and over.

Well that will do it... You need 7.0.98.0 or newer, but you mentioned its running 7.0.x already?

Can you post the output from the console of the AP. Is this the only ap that can't join?
Thanks,
Scott

Don't know if you are using one of the dicovery methods in order for these AP's to join a WLC. It is mentioned here.

This is what happens when connecting the ethernet cable to the AP (happening on all WAPs)
Jan 28 19:27:42.000: %CAPWAP-5-DTLSREQSEND: DTLS connection request sent peer_ip: 172.24.127.9 peer ap3g1-k9w8-mx.124-23c.JA2/
ap3g1-k9w8-mx.124-23c.JA2 (4721941 bytes)_port: 5246
*Jan 28 19:27:42.000: %CAPWAP-5-CHANGED: CAPWAP changed state to
*Jan 28 19:27:42.481: %CAPWAP-5-DTLSREQSUCC: DTLS connection created sucessfully peer_ip: 172.24.127.9 peer_port: 5246
*Jan 28 19:27:42.481: %CAPWAP-5-SENDJOIN: sending Join Request to 172.24.127.9
*Jan 28 19:27:42.481: %CAPWAP-5-CHANGED: CAPWAP changed state to JOINperform archive download capwap:/ap3g1 tar file
*Jan 28 19:27:42.497: %CAPWAP-5-AP_IMG_DWNLD: Required image not found on AP. Downloading image from Controller.
*Jan 28 19:27:42.506: %CAPWAP-5-CHANGED: CAPWAP changed state to IMAGE
After this, it seems to time out, and the AP completely reboots (all lights off for a period of 20 seconds).

Can the image be bad on the controller, considering the WAP's are attempting to download the image?

Could be but never ran into that. Sometimes you just have to install the recovery image back onto the AP.

When going to the config boot.... The APs are downloading the backup image instead of the primary. I think the controller wasn't rebooted after code upgrade recently. Checking the boot order of the controller currently.

Ok, so we finally got them to register, and showing up on the controller and DHCP, however, the lights on the individual AP's aren't coming on?

So the AP's are joined now with the WLC correct?
So for the other issue you have, try to issue this on the WLC CLI and let me know if that fixes your other issue:
config ap led-state enable all
Thanks,
Scott

I'm assuming also that the WiSM is configured with WLAN's etc and is working?
Thanks,
Scott

So,
The WAP's , for some strange reason, were pulling the image from the old code. Everything is functioning correctly at this point.

Glad to hear its working.
