8.3.140.4 versus 141.0

I upgraded the controllers I have on the 8.3 train to 8.3.140.4 when that was the recommended version to avoid the catastrophic regression bugs. It's now been superseded by 8.3.141.0.

Is there any benefit to running the newer version other than it's a CCO release? Or best to just wait for MR5 as the next opportunity to update?

8.3.141.0 is a "re-spin" of 8.3.140.0 and fixes two "catastrophic" bugs, CSCvi14641 & CSCvi11287.

Sure, but those bugs were also fixed in 8.3.140.4. So is there any difference between the two other than the cosmetic version number?

I can't answer that. I'm just reading what is printed in the Release Notes.

Hi,

No difference apart from two catastrophic bug fixes.

Caveat ID Number

Description

CSCvi11287

Cisco 2800 AP consistently reboots around 1 second after joining to the WLC

CSCvi14641

Cisco 2802, 3802 APs cannot connect with 100Mbps LAN speed

You can stay on this version - 8.3.140.4.

Regards,

Vengat
