802.11b clients cannot connect - status Probing (AIR-WLC2112-K9)

We have a AIR-WLC2112-K9 with several access points.

Some clients are not able to connect and we can see that they are trying to connect to 802.11b and are in status Probing.

802.11g clients are connecting normally.

Does anyone have an idea what can be causing this? Not sure if it is important but there is no password set. Clients should connect without password.
