Hi,

we have 9166 series AP on 9800 WLC.
AP having 2 Radios for 5 ghz - slot 1 and slot 2.
Slot 1 is operational, Slot 2 is kept disabled.
Slot 1 is not getting assigned DFS channels 100–144 and 149–165. Channel assignment setting is Auto. On manual seting also DFS channels are not showing.
Country code is IN.

Can somebody help on this. SLot 2 is disabled, we want slot 1 should get assigned channels from channels 100–144 and 149–165.

  - Note that when a DFS channel is selected for an AP radio, the AP radio scans the channel to check for any radar signals before transmitting any frames in the DFS frequency.
For instance have a look at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/217738-monitor-catalyst-9800-kpis-key-performa.html#toc-hId--940480618

You could probably get extra  insight with enabling 'global' logging for both  the APs  and the
    9800 controller.
    Ref : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/config-guide/b_wl_16_10_cg/enabling-syslog-messages-in-access-points-and-controller-for-syslog-server.html

Subsequently check logs when tweaking your settings

Hi Marce,
Thanks for your inputs.
when i enable Slot 2 of 5 GHz Radio, it gets an channel from DFS channel.
however no AP on Slot1 gets channel assigned from 100–144 and 149–165.

 - Use the logging settings I referred to ,to get further insights,
