I have 9 access point all are ME capable mode and one works as controller, I need more wireless coverage now, so I added on more 1852i AP but due to different software version it works as standalone ME AP with its own controller , I tried to upgrade the software version by joining it to the same network with no help , tried to reset it to factory but it keep asking for the same configuration of my current ME controller which I afraid it will lead to miss up the current setup
any thoughts ?

The AP is probably in capwap mode. Need to be converted to ME. You are going to need a console cable to convert it.

its already plugged, but my initial issue was that's it runs ME as standalone where I need it to join the Primary AP in my network like others

1850 can only be Master AP, not subordinate. That´s why it is not joining.

I am supporting them, their physical model is to take 1 access point in ME mode to use the virtual controller, the remaining access points can join the controller of that access point.

all the 9 APs are 1852i model
