There is a possibility the AP is running the controller-based IOS (default behaviour).

To convert from controller-based IOS to Mobility Express, read THIS.

I have tftp32 on my machine.

I can ping my machine from the ap

I type

archive download-sw /reload tftp://172.16.4.167/c:\tftp\AIR-AP2800-K9-ME-8-3-102-0.tar\ap1g4

and get the following:

curl: (68) getpeername() failed with errno 107: Transport endpoint is not connected
transfer command failed
Image transfer failed

archive download-sw /reload tftp://172.16.4.167/c:\tftp\AIR-AP2800-K9-ME-8-3-102-0.tar\ap1g4

That command syntax is incorrect.  It should be "archive download-sw tftp://172.16.4.167/filename.tar"
