AIR-AP3802E Antenna Compatibility

The AP3800 Deployment Guide lists the AIR-ANT2451NV-R as an approved and compatible antenna.

However, the AIR-ANT2451NV-R has 6 six RP-TNC connectors and the 3802E has 4 antenna connection ports.

How would one go about connecting the AIR-ANT2451NV-R to a 3802E, or is this a mistake in the deployment guide?

Edit: I see on this Getting Started Guide shows a more refined list of supported antennas that excludes the ANT2451 so I'm inclined to think the deployment guide is mistaken, but the Getting Started Guide still links to that Deployment Guide so it should be updated.

I think you need to use smart antenna connector which has 8 ports in it.

How would that work?

The Smart Antenna Adapter (AIR-CAB002-DART-R=) has 4 ports and the 3802E has 4 ports on the AP. The AIR-ANT2451NV-R antenna has 6 ports, so would it be some combination of connecting the 6 antenna ports to both the smart connector and the AP?

1)yes, its in the approved list.
Approved Antennas for Use with Access Points 2800 and 3800

2)its a dual band indoor omni antenna: This antenna is designed for indoor use with Cisco Aironet 802.11N radio devices that use six RP-TNC connectors (three 2.4-GHz and three 5-GHz).

3)This antenna should be connected appropriately ie., 2.4Ghz XOR and 5G dedicated.

4)how to connect.
3800E - Use AP's antenna leads to connect 5Ghz antenna leads.
with DART connector: When a smart antenna connector is installed, the XOR radio (the radio that is defined in software as Radio 0)
now has its RF switched to the smart antenna connector. in this case, it'll be 2.4ghz radio.
