AIR-CAP2602I-E-K9 connection refused after "clear config except static ip"

Due to problems with one remote access point, I've tried "clear config except static ip" from WLC.
But it seems this does not really a factory reset, because now I get "connection refused" when trying to telnet or ssh the ap.
Ping is ok!

Hostname changed, because in CDP neighbors I see now the default name "AP5087.89xx.xxxx".
Unfortunately this ap is not shown on WLC now, and it is thousand miles away from here.

Does the ap get the WLC from DHCP option 43 even when static ip is used?

Thanks.

You have to stage that ap since you ran that command. So yes, you would have to use option 43 or dns to help the ap find the controller. Telnet and ssh are disabled when you reset the ap, so in order to telnet or ssh, your ap has to join a controller so you can enable that feature.
