AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 interfaces down

Hi there guys,

i have a WLC with, let´s say, 30-40 AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9. Since last november the following issue happened 3 times.

One of the APs (it´s always the same unit) remains online but both WiFi interfaces appear down. I´m unable to put it back UP like if they were disabled. Then i have to reboot the AP and it starts working again.

Any idea of what could be happening? Should i open an RMA for this unit?

Thanks

I ran into something like this yesterday with 1142s that were recently installed to replace old 1231s.

"I found some radio resets on the new APs.  Insufficient power can cause this.  The switch provides PoE for the APs.  The new APs consume about 12.95 watts.  The old APs consumed about 7 watts.  In redundant mode, the switch power supplies had about .5 watts of available power.  The power supplies are now running in Combined mode with about 1644 watts available."

Make sure you have enough PoE power to the APs.
