AIR-SAP702i-A-K9 won't boot

We had a power outage and when the power came back on my AP came up with a red light.  I tried resetting by unplugging and also by using the mode button but same flashing red light.  When I use the ap: boot command this is what I get :

Loading "flash:/ap1g1-k9w7-mx.152-4.JB3a/ap1g1-k9w7-mx.152-4.JB3a"...

####################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################
bad mzip file, uncompressed to wrong length , (0x1ad4cdf != 0x1ad4ae0)
Error loading "flash:/ap1g1-k9w7-mx.152-4.JB3a/ap1g1-k9w7-mx.152-4.JB3a"
Interrupt within 5 seconds to abort boot process.
Boot process failed...

I found some image restore instructions but the "ap: copy xmodem: flash:ap1g1-k9w7-mx.152-4.JB3a" returns an I/O Error message after printing 10 capital Cs.  Same with "ap: copy xmodem: flash:ap1g1-k9w7-mx.152-4.JB3a.tar"

Any help would be much appreciated because none of our wireless devices work anymore.  Attached is the putty log file.

Long story short - found a 3rd party source for the update tar file, tftp: to AP, tar -xtract file, boot with pathname to new image.  Up and running! Now I would like to know if there is any easy way to remove the old corrupted image.

 - The image that was transferred to the AP is corrupt , check if you can use tftp for image data transfer, which will be more robust in the context of preserving data ,

I do have a tftp server I can set up but where to I get the image that I need to transfer?

This has turned into a gigantic Catch-22.  I cannot open a Service Request with Support because my product is end-of-life and I cannot download the file without a service contract even though the security bulletin say the upgrade is free. AND I can't buy a service contract for an end-of-life product! So, there is a fix but Cisco has made it impossible for me to get it!
