Anyone tried the 1570 (or 1530) series for a long haul PTP link with success? Cisco officially just mention anemic short distances with their own antennas.
Have some 10km and 20km PTP links today with Aironet 1240 and 1250 with dual 26dbi antennas operating excellent at 54Mbps on 5ghz band.
On the 1250 11n mcs rates was somewhat possible at 10km distance, but high latency and poor performance didnt make it reliable. Antenna configuration are made up with both antennas with vertical polarization, but it seems like the most common are dual polarization for 11n PTP links.
1-2km are no problem getting 11n speeds on the 1250 series, but we want to upgrade our long distance links. Want to use Cisco gear if possible.
