What is the difference between AIR-ANT1729 (Frequency Range 2.4-2.5 GHz, VSWR Less than 2:1, Gain 6dBi, Linear Polarization) and AIR-ANT2012 (Frequency Range 2.4-2.5 GHz, VSWR 1.7:1 Nominal, Gain 6dBi, Vertical Polarization)?

Both are identical in specs except for one thing. 1729 is a regular patch antenna, while the 2012 is a Diversity patch antenna. A Diversity patch antenna will have two cables coming out of the unit, as it has built-in two antenna elements for diversity. The 1729 will have only one cable coming out, and to achieve diversity you will need to buy two such units (Left and right)
FYI Diversity helps in preventing multipath reflection problems.

Tips choosing the right antenna. When compare the two differrent antennas, I would choose AIR-ANT2012 because it has better VSWR and its diversity.
